For my final year project at university, I had 18 weeks to research, design and implement a solution for a 'problem' within the gaming industry.
I chose to tackle the stereotypes found in narrative games by using the Salem Witch Trials as a focal point of female oppression to educate and inspire players without relying on harmful character tropes. The project outcome entails a branching-narrative gameplay experience from the perspective of an 18th century girl accused of witchcraft, as well as a fully written script with multiple outcomes and a dissertation presentation.
